The Queen Mary, the harbour and the lighthouse at the end of San Pedro
Two of the great ships of the last century are still tied up in Los Angeles harbour, and this is the tour that takes you to them. The day starts in downtown Long Beach, spends its time alongside the Queen Mary — the Cunard liner that crossed the Atlantic a thousand times and carried troops through the Second World War — then runs the working waterfront of the Port of Los Angeles and finishes at Point Fermin Lighthouse, on the bluff at the end of San Pedro.
It is a good one for families and for anyone who likes things that were built to last. Your guide handles the driving and the history; you get the views and the ships.
Reservations require advance payment and are based on availability. Book at least 48 hours ahead — 10 days for private reserved group tours, which need a minimum of 6 guests.
